    Apple kauft Entwickler von Bluetooth-Kopfhörern [Update]

    Wi-Gear wurde von Apple aufgekauft

    Das kalifornische Unternehmen Wi-Gear wurde vor etwa zwei Monaten von Apple aufgekauft. Wi-Gear war Entwickler einer Vielzahl von Bluetooth-Geräten, darunter auch die sogenannten iMuffs. Das Stereo-Bluetooth-Headset wurde speziell für iOS-Geräte entwickelt und dafür abgestimmt. Mit dem Kauf von Wi-Gear kauft sich Apple auf dem Segment der Bluetooth-Kopfhörer Kompetenz ein. Derzeit bietet Apple keine Bluetooth-Headsets an, was sich nun aber bald ändern könnte. In der Vergangenheit hat sich Apple bereits an einem Mono-Bluetooth-Headset versucht, das Gerät wurde jedoch wieder vom Markt genommen.
